Can you see a fishbone on a CT?

A CT is not a 100% guarantee that the fishbone can be seen, it has to do with the size and location of the fishbone, and the resolution of the CT.
1. Larger fishbone can show abnormal density increase shadow on CT, which can determine the location of the fishbone and its relationship with the surrounding tissues, and then remove the fishbone through laryngoscopy or gastroscopy.
2. However, if the fishbone is small, or the location is hidden, close to the cricoid cartilage, etc., due to the effect of CT resolution, the fishbone is not easy to be detected, or need to be combined with laryngoscopy for further examination.
When the fishbone is stuck, you can not blindly eat, swallow and some folk remedies to try to remove, so as not to cut the fishbone neck blood vessels, triggering bleeding. You should go to the hospital in time and remove the fishbone with the help of a doctor.
