Smart, also known as all-laser, and full femtosecond are both commonly used in the clinic as better ways to correct myopia, and there is no obvious advantage or disadvantage, the procedure that suits the patient is better.
Both full laser and full femtosecond laser can correct myopia, and each myopic patient’s eye condition will be different, such as there may be different degrees of myopia, different corneal thickness, the existence of higher-order aberration, etc. Therefore, different myopic patients need different surgical methods, and there is no such thing as which surgical method is better.
Generally speaking, for myopic patients with thin cornea thickness and obvious higher order aberrations, all-laser surgery is more suitable. Patients with relatively thick corneas and no significant higher order aberrations are better suited for full femtosecond laser surgery.
It is recommended that myopic patients seek timely medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions to choose the appropriate surgical procedure.
