The treatment of secondary epilepsy consists of two main aspects: First, if the cause is clear, the first treatment should be cause-specific, such as the presence of cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage caused by epilepsy, the first treatment of cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, if there is a tumor in the brain, you need to use surgical methods to remove the tumor. If the epilepsy is caused by inflammation or parasitic infections, antibiotics, antiviral drugs and anti-parasitic methods are needed to treat the epilepsy. Second, drug therapy, including monotherapy and combination therapy, commonly used drugs include carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin sodium, gabapentin, lamotrigine, topiramate, etc. If the epilepsy is refractory, or if the effect is still poor after long-term regular antiepileptic treatment, surgical treatment can be considered.
