Reduce the dosage in elderly patients or patients with hepatic insufficiency. The indications for Lopressor are patients with hypertension and angina pectoris. This drug is a calcium antagonist, dilates small peripheral arteries to reduce afterload and dilate coronary arteries, which can release coronary artery spasm and has anti-hypertensive effect to relieve angina pectoris. It is well tolerated in the dose range of 10 mg daily, and most of the adverse effects are mild to moderate. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to dihydropyridine calcium antagonists.
