Children can take Chicken Neijin in powdered form or decoction. 0.75g~2.5g for children under 5 years old, 1.5g~5g for children over 5 years old. children’s spleen and stomach are not yet mature, so they should use the medicine carefully under the guidance of doctors.
Chicken Neijin is the inner wall of the sand sac of the domestic chicken of the pheasant family; sweet in taste and flat in nature; it belongs to the spleen, stomach and small intestine meridians, with the efficacy of eliminating food and strengthening the stomach, astringing semen and stopping spermatorrhea (consolidating semen and preventing spermatorrhea), and clearing the lymph and resolving stones.
It can be used for treating food accumulation without elimination (food indigestion and accumulation in the stomach), vomiting, diarrhea and dysentery, pediatric chancre (a kind of chronic disease of children, manifesting as emaciation, abnormal diet, abdominal distension, thinning and yellowing of hair, etc.), dysuria, spermatorrhea, lithiasis and astringent pain (discharging gravel during urination, or sudden interruption of urination, pain in the urethra, unbearable pain in the lumbar and abdominal stranguria), and dystocia (pain in the region of the coarseness and ribs).
Chicken Nei Jin can be ground into powder and given directly to children with water. However, because of its fishy odor, some children are reluctant to take it directly. It can be powdered and added in small amounts to children’s meals such as noodles, rice and porridge.
However, it should be noted that if the spleen is weak without stagnation of children can not take the chicken gold.
