Yellowing of the eyes is usually referred to as yellowing of the sclera or conjunctiva. Yellowing of the sclera is mostly due to jaundice and should be treated with detoxification, yellowing, hepatoprotection or surgery. Conjunctival yellowing should be treated with light avoidance, sun protection, anti-inflammatory or excision.
1. Scleral yellowing: mainly related to jaundice, belonging to hepatobiliary diseases, divided into several types, generally should be given to detoxification, anti-yellowing, hepatoprotection and other methods of treatment, there are stones, tumors, structural abnormalities, may need surgical treatment.
2. Conjunctival yellowing: related to degeneration, pterygium hyperplasia, blepharospasm, etc., generally should be given anti-infective treatment, degenerative turbidity yellowing has no special effect, should pay attention to avoiding light and sunscreen, reduce sand and ultraviolet radiation. Hyperplasia and blepharospasmic spot and other lesions affect daily vision, surgical removal should be considered.
