The tissues and structures that can be palpated around the left testicle may be normal epididymal tissue, testicular epididymal tumor, and varicocele. The normal testicle is connected to the epididymis at the posterior and lateral sides, and the mass found is probably the normal epididymal tissue, which needs no special treatment. Tumors of the epididymis are mostly benign tumors, but malignant tumors are relatively rare, and the common ones are epididymal cysts or inflammatory nodules of the epididymis, which are mainly treated by surgery. Varicocele is usually found on the left side and can appear as worm-like masses, sometimes accompanied by local swelling and pain, which can affect the quality of semen, and the treatment can be conservative oral medication or surgery. Therefore, if a mass-like object appears around the testicles, it is necessary to do relevant tests to clarify the diagnosis and determine the treatment plan according to the results of the tests.
