What’s wrong with massive hair loss?

Massive hair loss may be caused by androgenetic alopecia, patchy baldness, ringworm and other diseases.
1. Androgenetic alopecia: this disease has a certain heredity, which may be related to abnormal secretion of androgen level, perifollicular fibrosis, irregular work and rest, low protein diet, perifollicular inflammation and other factors. The main symptom is extensive hair loss, often on the top of the forehead, which may be accompanied by symptoms of increased oil secretion from the scalp.
2. Patchy baldness: the etiology of this disease is not completely clear, but the current clinical opinion may be related to heredity, cellular immune abnormalities, fatigue, neurasthenia, pathogenic microbial infections, allergies and other factors. Typical symptoms are sudden patchy alopecia, so patients can appear large areas of hair loss.
3. Tinea capitis: this disease is caused by dermatophyte infections such as Trichophyton rubrum, Microsporum canis, and Trichophyton rubrum redum, which are infectious. Common symptoms are hair breakage, hair loss, scaling, etc. In some cases, it can be manifested as extensive hair loss.
When extensive hair loss occurs, patients need to go to the hospital in time and cooperate with doctors for active treatment.
