Urinary bilirubin ± i.e., weakly positive, may be due to non-disease causes and is normal, but it may also be due to disease causes or the effects of medication.
Urinary bilirubin is bilirubin excreted through the bile duct into the intestinal tract, in the intestinal bacterial action to generate fecal bilirubin, most of which is excreted with the stool, and a small portion of which is excreted in the urine. Urinary bile is an indicator in the urine routine, negative or weak positive ± are normal range.
1. Non-disease factors: patients recently stay up late, insufficient rest, insufficient drinking water can not lead to timely excretion, weak positive urine bile.
2. Disease factors: for example, viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and other diseases will lead to liver cell damage, bilirubin from the damaged liver into the circulation, so the urobilinogen increased.
3. Drug effects: sulfonamides and other drugs will affect the liver metabolism, resulting in weakly positive urobilinogen.
If liver function tests are normal and there are no symptoms, there is usually no big problem and no need to worry. If accompanied by skin yellowing and other symptoms, you need to go to the gastroenterology department of the hospital to further improve the liver function and other related tests to confirm the diagnosis.
