High immunoglobulin IgG can be seen in a variety of conditions, including infections, autoimmune diseases, and multiple myeloma. Different treatment modalities are available for different causes. Common treatment modalities include antiviral, glucocorticoid and immunosuppressant, chemotherapy and so on.
1. Antiviral: Infectious diseases such as chronic viral hepatitis or infectious mononucleosis can lead to high IgG, and the main symptomatic treatment and antiviral therapy should be used after the cause of the disease is clarified, and the antiviral drugs include interferon alpha, entecavir, tenofovir and so on.
2. Glucocorticoid and immunosuppressant: autoimmune diseases such as dry syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory myopathy and so on can cause immunoglobulin IgG elevation due to autoimmune dysfunction, and glucocorticoid, such as prednisone, etc, and immunosuppressant, such as cyclophosphamide, methotrexate and mycophenolate mofetil, etc, are generally used.
3. Chemotherapy: multiple myeloma is a clonal proliferative disease of lymphocytes or plasma cells, these cells can secrete a large amount of immunoglobulin leading to elevated immunoglobulin IgG, and the disease is mainly treated with chemotherapy.
It is recommended that patients with high immunoglobulin IgG should go to the hospital for consultation, and the cause of the disease should be clarified under the guidance of the doctor, and then targeted treatment should be carried out. Drugs should be used in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, do not self-medication.
