Is it okay to dilate slowly twice a day?

Slow dilation mostly refers to the use of atropine ophthalmic gel for dilation of the pupils, which is usually applied twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, for five consecutive days, so it can be used twice a day.
Atropine ophthalmic gel fully paralyzes the ciliary muscle and can be used to dilate the pupils for funduscopic examination and for pediatric dilated optometry. This is because dilation removes the refractive error due to accommodation, thus allowing for an accurate optometric reading.
When using the drug, the child can take the supine or sitting position, open the eyes upward gaze, parents gently peel the lower eyelid, the drug drops into the lower eyelid conjunctival sac, after the drop into the closed eyes rest for 5 minutes, to promote the absorption of the drug. Adverse reactions such as flushing and mild fever may occur after the use of atropine in children.
Patients are advised to use Diffusers Eye Drops as prescribed by the doctor, do not use it without authorization to avoid causing adverse reactions.
