Take baby’s underarm temperature for a few minutes

It is recommended to take your baby’s underarm temperature for about 5 minutes, or at least 3 minutes. Babies need to be in a quiet state when taking their axillary temperature. Having just breastfed or crying violently, and especially wearing clothes that are too thick or too tight, can lead to sweating, especially under the armpits. Therefore, before taking the temperature, we should feel the armpits to see if there is any sweat, if sweat first wipe off the sweat, and then use the mercury body temperature to measure the armpit temperature. The normal body temperature of babies is between 36-37.5℃, low fever is between 37.5-38.5℃, while greater than 38.5℃ is considered high fever. And it is best to retake the temperature twice, in this way it will be relatively accurate, sometimes a high temperature can not explain the problem.
