Is it possible to treat a fracture without surgery?

Fracture is a disease in which the bone is partially or completely broken due to trauma or pathology. The main clinical manifestations are: limited pain and pressure at the fracture site, local swelling and ecchymosis, and immobility of the limb. The causes of fractures are mostly traumatic, including car accidents, falls, and smashes, etc. There are also some elderly people with osteoporosis, and minor triggers or spontaneous causes of fractures. Fractures are prone to occur in daily life and can occur in the thighs, calves, arms, hands as well as the lower back. Factors affecting fracture healing Fracture healing is accomplished by cells and many factors, so almost all endogenous or exogenous factors can affect cellular metabolism and promote or delay fracture healing. The patient’s age, physical fitness, the extent and type of fracture, the method of fixation of the fracture, the presence of local infection, and the blood supply to the fracture end are all factors that affect fracture healing. Methods of fracture treatment Resetting, fixation and functional exercises are the most basic treatments for any kind of fracture. Open reduction and installation of plates and intramedullary nails have basically become the routine of treatment, but we have to face many concurrent fracture problems such as bone non-union, osteoporosis, fracture of plates and other internal fixations, which involve physical pain and economic burden. With the characteristics of “no surgery, no medicine, fast recovery and low cost”, Chinese osteopathy has been popular among patients for treating bone fractures, joint dislocations and other bone diseases. It is the crystallization of the blood, sweat and wisdom of our working people.
