What does osseous healing mean?

Fracture healing is divided into clinical healing, also known as initial healing, and solid healing, also known as bony healing. Bone healing requires that the fracture first meets the criteria and time for clinical healing, and then the fracture bone scabs are remodeled and shaped to form normal bone tissue, so that the fracture returns to its normal strength. Therefore, bony healing is the level of healing that can only be achieved after a longer period of recovery after clinical healing. Clinical healing is generally emphasized in the judgment of clinical healing, and after clinical healing is achieved, as long as the normal recovery period, about half a year to one year, bone healing can be achieved. Criteria for clinical healing include no localized pressure, no longitudinal tenderness, and no abnormal local activity. The upper limb can lift one kilogram of weight for one minute, the lower limb can walk continuously for three minutes, and not less than thirty steps, and the fracture will not be deformed after two weeks of observation.
