What’s wrong with hiccups during menstruation?

Hiccups during menstruation may be caused by physiological reasons such as hormonal changes in the body, emotional factors, and pathological reasons such as gastrointestinal diseases and abnormal phrenic nerve function.
1. Physiological reasons:
(1) Hormonal changes in the body: during the female physiological period, the hormone level in the body will change, which may lead to gastrointestinal dysfunction, affecting gastric peristalsis and thus hiccups.
(2) Emotional factors: excessive stress, mental tension and other emotional factors can cause vegetative nerve dysfunction, which may also lead to hiccups.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) Gastrointestinal diseases: gastritis, peptic ulcer and other gastrointestinal diseases can cause gastrointestinal dysfunction and hiccups.
(2) abnormal phrenic nerve function: abnormal phrenic nerve function can also cause hiccups.
It is recommended that women during physiological period pay attention to diet and maintain a good state of mind, so as to prevent the emergence of various symptoms.
