Location and Indications of Zhangmen Acupuncture Point

The location of Zhangmen acupoint is in the lateral abdomen, below the free end of the eleventh rib. The main treatments include dyspepsia, abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea and other conditions.
Zhangmen acupoint belongs to the foot syncopal liver meridian, is the recruitment point of the spleen, the visceral meeting point of the eight meeting points, and is also the meeting point of the foot syncopal meridian and the foot shaoyang meridian. It is located in the lateral abdomen, below the free end of the eleventh rib.
Zhangmen is commonly used to treat spleen and stomach disorders such as dyspepsia, abdominal pain, bloating and diarrhea, as well as liver and gallbladder disorders such as dystocia (pain in the area of the ribs and coats of arms), jaundice, and plaques (lumps). This point can be combined with the Tianshu (Heavenly Pivot) point, the Spleen Yu (Spleen Yu) point and the Foot Sanli (Foot Sanli) point to treat abdominal distension, lumps (masses) and dystocia (pain in the ribs) caused by disharmony between the liver and the spleen.
