According to the pattern of soft tissue healing, the functional exercise phase is generally divided into 3-3-3 weeks. Phase 1: For 0-3 weeks after surgery, this phase is the fixation phase, the ligaments need a process for tissue healing, so the ankle joint is fixed in dorsal extension and valgus position and no movement is allowed. However, functional training of the adjacent joints needs to be performed early. a. After recovery from anesthesia, you can start to try to move your toes and allow movement of the hip and knee joints to avoid nerve compression injury. b.Postoperative is not absolute bed rest, you can use crutches to walk around the room without stepping on the floor of the injured limb, such as going to the toilet and washing up. c. The dressing can be changed once in 2-3 days after surgery according to the wound condition (dressing change). If there is wound pain, fever, redness, etc., you need to seek help from the doctor in time. The sutures are removed 10-14 days after surgery, but the plaster needs to be fixed for 3-4 weeks according to the intraoperative ligament suture. d. Early postoperative protective exercises for the adjacent joints, mainly strength exercises. Knee training: active quadriceps isometric contraction: under the knee pad, active force downward pressure on the pad for 5 seconds and then relax, 10 sets/group, 3 sets/day. Straight leg raise: supine position, with protective cast or brace, knee straight, active upward leg raise 20cm from the bed, hold for 10 seconds, 10 sets/group, 2-3 sets/day. Toe training: Ensure that the ankle joint is inactive by gently and slowly hooking and extending the toes in the cast or brace. Hold for 5 seconds and then relax, 10 sets/group, 2-3 sets/day.
