These items are essential for female medical checkups

With the development of society, the accelerated pace of life and work and the increase in psychological pressure, more and more people show a state of “subhealth”, and many diseases show a trend of youth. In recent years, medical checkups have become more and more important to people. More than 2,000 years ago, the Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine proposed that the top doctor should treat the untreated diseases, the middle doctor should treat the desired diseases, and the bottom doctor should treat the existing diseases. That is, the most skillful doctor is not the one who is good at curing diseases, but the one who can prevent them. What is a health checkup? A health checkup is a comprehensive examination of the body and effective interventions for “pre-existing diseases”, i.e., when the body is not yet visibly ill. It is really early detection, early prevention, early diagnosis and early treatment of diseases. So, the majority of female friends in the physical examination, in the face of the dazzling physical examination items and packages, how to choose? Today, I will share with you the medical checkup programs specifically for women and their significance. What are the basic items of physical examination? 1.Laboratory examination: blood and urine routine, liver and kidney function, blood sugar, blood lipids, tumor markers, etc. 2.Medical examination: pelvic ultrasound, breast ultrasound, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, spleen and kidney ultrasound, etc., to understand whether there are occupying lesions in the corresponding organs. 3.Clinical departments: internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, gynecology, etc. So, what are the items that are specifically for women during the physical examination? The medical checkup items for women mainly include: female tumor marker examination, pelvic ultrasound and gynecological examination. 1.Tumor markers: Tumor markers are chemical substances that reflect the presence of tumors. They do not exist in normal adult tissues but only in embryonic tissues, or their content in tumor tissues greatly exceeds the content in normal tissues. Their existence or quantitative changes can suggest the nature of tumors, so as to understand the tumor histogenesis, cell differentiation and cell function to help diagnosis, classification, prognosis judgment and treatment guidance of tumors. Among these tumor markers, the main ones related to women are CA125/HE4 and ovarian cancer, and HCG and choriocarcinoma and staphyloma. 2.Pelvic ultrasound: i.e. uterine adnexal ultrasound, mainly to understand whether there are inflammation and occupational lesions in uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes, etc. 3.Gynecological examination: mainly includes inflammation examination of reproductive tract and cancer screening of cervical cancer. Reproductive tract inflammation examination includes: routine white belt, mycoplasma and chlamydia examination to clarify whether there is mycoplasma, chlamydia, mycobacteria and trichomonas infection. Cervical cancer screening includes: cervical liquid-based cytology examination, or TCT for short in English. Human papillomavirus test, or HPV test for short. To understand the importance of cervical cancer screening, let’s first understand about cervical cancer. 1, almost 100% of cervical cancer is caused by HPV infection, and it can be considered that prevention of HPV infection can effectively prevent cervical cancer. 2.Only persistent infection of HPV increases the risk of cervical cancer, how long does persistent infection last? From precancerous lesion to cancer, it usually takes about ten years, which gives us enough time to detect and treat the disease effectively before it develops into cervical cancer and stop the disease from developing into invasive cancer. It is recommended, then, that women over the age of 25 who are sexually active, or who have been sexually active for more than two years, undergo combined cervical fluid-based cytology and HPV screening every three years. In other words, if a woman pays attention to HPV, TCT screening can be effective in eliminating cervical cancer to a great extent. Therefore, cervical cancer is currently the only cancer with a clear cause and the only cancer that can be completely prevented through early screening and early detection. With the launch and popularization of HPV vaccine in China, cervical cancer is also expected to be the first cancer to disappear.
