What do glioma sections do?

Glioma sections can be used as a reference for the benign and malignant nature of a patient’s glioma, the degree of malignancy, and the type of pathology, which in turn can be helpful in making decisions about a patient’s treatment and in determining the prognosis of the disease. Through immunohistochemistry of the patient’s tumor tissue, it usually takes about 3 days to detect the benignity and malignancy of the tissue and the pathological grading, which is generally divided into grades 1~4, with grades 1-2 as the lower grades and grades 3-4 as the higher grades, and patients with lower grades generally have a better prognosis; and patients with high-grade gliomas have a high degree of malignancy and a poorer prognosis. Glioma section is helpful to improve the correct rate of pathological, benign and malignant diagnosis of glioma patients, which is of great help to patients’ treatment modality and prognosis, and glioma patients should be examined and treated under the guidance of professional doctors.
