Under normal circumstances, the menstruation can come about 3~7 days after stopping Deferiprone Tablets. Deferiprone tablets are synthetic progesterone, clinically used in the treatment of amenorrhea, luteal insufficiency and other diseases, it can make the proliferative phase endometrium into secretory phase, stopping the drug for about 3 days or so endometrium can be peeled off, which can trigger withdrawal bleeding, this bleeding can be interpreted as coming to menstruation, some women stop the drug for more than 3 days to bleed, but usually not more than 7 days. If menstruation does not occur even after 7 days of stopping the drug, it may be caused by insufficient dosage of the drug, too short a period of time, or pregnancy; it may also be related to low estrogen levels or damage to the uterine lining, and so on. With the presence of the above factors, the endometrium will not peel off after stopping the drug, so menstruation may continue to be delayed. No special treatment is needed for menstruation within 7 days after stopping the medication, and attention should be paid to menstrual health care; if menstruation does not occur for more than 7 days, ultrasound and hormone levels should be further examined to find out the cause.
