There is no inevitable relationship between coffee drinking and skin darkening. Coffee contains mainly caffeine, which is absorbed into the body and then digested, absorbed and destroyed by the gastrointestinal tract, so there is no connection between caffeine and melanocytes of the skin. Skin darkening due to melanocytes stimulated by sunlight and ultraviolet light, excessive melanin deposition leads to darkening of skin color. There is no scientific evidence that caffeine has a direct link to darkening of the skin. For skin darkening, it is recommended to actively prevent sun exposure, apply sunscreen topically when going out, and use hydrating and moisturizing face masks in moderation on the face, all to help prevent skin darkening.
