Symptoms of frozen shoulder

The symptoms of frozen shoulder, i.e. adhesive capsulitis, mainly include limitation of shoulder joint movement and localized pain. In frozen shoulder, active and passive activities in all directions can be limited to different degrees, with the limitation being more severe in external rotation abduction and internal rotation posterior extension movements. Patients may gradually develop localized pain in the shoulder that is clearly related to movement and posture. With the development of the disease, the pain may expand and involve the mid-upper arm. If the range of motion is forced to increase at this time, it may cause severe pain. Patients with severe frozen shoulder may be unable to comb their hair or touch their back with their backhand. At the same time, at night, the patient may wake up with pain due to turning over and moving the shoulder. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible for standardized treatment.
