How to treat vascular neuralgia

The treatment of vascular neuralgia is divided into two main aspects: 1) symptomatic treatment and 2) causal treatment. In terms of symptomatic treatment, it is relatively easy to understand, actively applying pain medication to reduce and eliminate the headache. The most common ones are aspirin or carbamazepine, loxoprofen, acetaminophen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and then the appropriate application of certain anti-anxiety and sedative drug treatment, which may also relieve some tension and anxiety. The cause of vascular neuropathic pain must be identified and often treated with appropriate vasoconstrictors, such as ergotamine, and then some calcium antagonists, which can relieve the occurrence of neuropathic pain caused by vasospasm. In addition, we should improve the head CT and head MRI to rule out whether there are other intracranial lesions that may be masking the symptoms, so that the cause can be identified for better treatment.
