Why Ductal Tumors of the Breast Are Likely to Recur

Incomplete excision of the lesion and estrogen stimulation are prone to recurrence of ductal breast tumor. Ductal neoplasms are generally referred to as papillomas occurring in the epithelium of breast ducts, i.e., intramammary ductal papillomas, which is a kind of sub-common benign breast tumors occurring in middle-aged and old women between 40 and 50 years of age, and it is closely related to the stimulation of estrogen. The main treatment for intraductal papilloma is surgical excision, and the principle of surgical implementation is to remove the lesion completely at the time of surgery. In the case of incomplete removal of the lesion, i.e., the presence of residual diseased tissue, ductal breast tumors are prone to recurrence. If the lesion is completely removed, ductal tumors of other ducts on the same or opposite side may recur due to estrogen stimulation. If there is a suspicion of recurrence of ductal tumor, you should go to a regular medical institution and actively cooperate with the diagnosis and treatment in order to avoid delaying your condition.
