Can trabecular bone disorders heal on their own?

Whether the trabecular disorder will be self-healing or not is related to the specific disease. Trabecular disorder of osteonecrosis of the femoral head generally cannot be self-healing, while trabecular disorder can be self-healing if it occurs during the healing period of the fracture.
1. Necrosis of the femoral head: patients with necrosis of the femoral head will have trabecular disorders in the weight-bearing area, which should be treated actively, mainly with surgical treatment, including core decompression, osteotomy, artificial joint replacement, etc., to remove necrotic tissues and promote the formation of new trabeculae, and the trabecular disorders will gradually return to normal after treatment.
2. Fracture healing period: If there is a history of fracture and trabecular bone disorder occurs during the healing process, it means that the fracture is healing, and it can be healed gradually with the progress of time, but the trabecular bone disorder is not up to the normal functional requirements, so rest should be paid attention to, and excessive exercise or weight bearing should not be allowed, otherwise, it will lead to secondary injuries.
Disordered trabeculae may also exist in other diseases. It is recommended that the patient should clarify the cause of the disordered trabeculae, if it is caused by various diseases, it should be actively treated to promote recovery, while if it is the process of fracture healing, it will slowly return to normal bone tissue.
