Reasons for high squamous carcinoma antigen

Squamous carcinoma antigen is SCC, which may be caused by inflammation and squamous epithelial hyperplasia, which may also lead to high antigen index, but of course, it cannot exclude malignant tumor. SCC may be elevated in squamous cell carcinoma, lung squamous carcinoma and cervical squamous carcinoma, but if the diagnosis of malignancy is confirmed, most of the indexes may be higher than 50μg/L, or even 100μg/L or higher, which should be combined with imaging and endoscopy. The diagnosis can be confirmed only after further pathological examination, such as lung CT finding lung occupancy, esophagoscopy and hysteroscopy finding mass or ulcerative lesion.
