What does the Rheumatology IV test for?

Rheumatology tests include Rheumatoid Factor, Anti-Streptococcal Hemolysin “O”, Blood Sedimentation and C-Reactive Protein. It mainly detects common rheumatic diseases.
1. Rheumatoid factor: Positive rheumatoid factor can be seen in rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissue disease and other diseases.
2. Anti-streptococcal hemolysin “O”: it is an indicator for detecting streptococcal infections, and anti-streptococcal hemolysin “O” positivity can be seen in rheumatic fever and other diseases.
3. Hematocrit: the full name is erythrocyte sedimentation rate, generally in the active phase of the disease is elevated, can be seen in adult Still’s disease, rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and other diseases, and so on.
4. C-reactive protein: it is mainly elevated during the active phase of the disease, which can be seen in systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases.
