Soft tissue removal is usually mostly the removal of subcutaneous masses, including lipomas, sebaceous cysts, and fibroadenomas, to name a few. Because these tissues generally occur within the subcutaneous adipose tissue and possibly in the muscle, they are usually soft in texture. For small masses, they can be removed under local anesthesia; for larger masses, continuous epidural anesthesia is required. After disinfecting the surface with iodophor, after the anesthesia takes effect, make an incision along the dermatoglyphic incision, bluntly and sharply separate and reveal the mass, then remove the mass completely and send it to the pathology examination to clarify the nature of the mass, stop the bleeding of the surgical wound, and then make a suture to close it.
