There is no exact interval specific time for performing abdominal CT. The average number of radiological examinations for normal adults is usually about 6 to 8 times per year. Doing it once in a while will not adversely affect the body, and there is a definite risk of cancer only when exposed to large doses of radiation over a long period of time. However, if the condition does require it, then a short interval between 2 CTs is fine. For example, radiotherapy patients with cancer, trauma patients who need to be re-examined within a short period of time, etc., are required to undergo multiple CT and other radiological examinations, and such patients need to undergo CT examination in a timely manner, in order to detect abnormal changes in the body as early as possible. It is recommended that patients who need abdominal CT for a short period of time do not need to worry too much and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the examination.
