Indications for endocrine therapy and the time to start treatment

Secretion therapy has good efficacy in preoperative neoadjuvant therapy, postoperative adjuvant therapy for early-stage breast cancer, and treatment of advanced recurrent metastatic breast cancer. It can be used for neoadjuvant treatment to reduce tumor size and improve surgical resection rate; for early adjuvant treatment to reduce distant metastasis and recurrence; and for advanced breast cancer treatment to control disease progression and prolong survival time. After breast cancer is diagnosed, doctors can use it based on the estrogen receptor/progesterone receptor on breast cancer cells, and the test results show the presence of one or both of these two hormone receptors. The application of endocrine therapy is recommended after completing breast cancer surgery, starting with chemotherapy and starting endocrine therapy after the chemotherapy cycle is completed.
