Does high-frequency tone deafness heal on its own?

High-frequency tone deafness, such as short-term, mild cases have the possibility of self-healing, such as sudden deafness, noise deafness; such as long-term, more serious cases, the possibility of self-healing is relatively low, such as senile deafness.
1. Sudden deafness: refers to the sudden and unexplained sensorineural hearing loss, the patient’s hearing usually drops to the lowest point within a few minutes or hours, a few patients can be within 3 days. The disease has a tendency to self-healing, but whether high-frequency sound can be self-healing varies from person to person.
2. Noise deafness: high-intensity noise stimulation can cause different degrees of mechanical damage to hair cells, vestibular window and capillary rupture, and in severe cases, the spiral apparatus can be seen peeling off from the basement membrane. Those who are exposed to slightly lower noise for a short period of time have the possibility of self-healing after being removed from the noise environment. When exposed to strong noise for a long time, the chance of self-healing is low.
3. Age-related deafness: aging of the auditory system, the role of genetic factors and external environmental influences can lead to age-related deafness, often occurring in high-frequency sound decline. As aging is a natural law, there is no way to reverse it, and it is generally not self-healing.
When found with high-frequency tone deafness, you can actively seek medical treatment to improve the systematic examination, clear diagnosis and cause of the disease, and then follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
