Lotus tongue is a Chinese medical condition and is usually not natural.
Lotus tongue, also known as heavy tongue, refers to the birth of a heavy tongue under the tongue, the shape of which is like a lotus flower. Symptoms include swollen blood vessels under the tongue, a small tongue under the tongue, a lotus flower, difficulty in eating and drinking, saliva in the mouth, and ulceration over time.
Lotus tongue is mostly caused by dampness and heat in the heart and spleen, and then wind, so that the evil qi fights with each other, and it is formed by the tongue through the meridian; or by the burning of the tongue by the fire, the heat knot blood stasis, and dampness and heat stagnation, and it is usually not born.
The treatment of Lotus Tongue is to clear the heart and cool the blood, detoxify and dissipate the toxins and knots, which can be treated with the prescription of Guiding Chih-San, Rhinoceros Jiao Di-Huang Tang and other medicines. For localized redness and swelling, it is advisable to use sterilized needles to puncture and bleed, and externally use Pu Huang powder to compress; for localized ulceration, use tin-like powder to blow externally for treatment.
