Piriformis pain radiates from the buttocks along the back of the thigh to the back and outside of the calf and the back of the heel and foot. This direction is where the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian and Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian of Chinese medicine are located. Therefore, acupuncture is mainly selected from the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian, Foot Shaoyang Biliary Meridian and part of the Foot Solar Bladder Meridian, and acupuncture points such as Huanjiao, Huanzhong, Qibian, Yinmen, Chengfu, Fengshi, Blood Sea, Huizhong, Zhongzhong, Zhongzhong, Zhongzhong, Yanglingquan, Zhuozhong, Kunlun, Taixi, Taichong, Xiexi, etc., and acupuncture and moxibustion are used in the treatment, and it can be a very good way to alleviate the pain of the buttocks and the radiating pain of lower limbs caused by the pectus excavatum syndrome.
