Can a syphilis titer of 1:128 determine the stage of syphilis?

The syphilis antibody titer of 1:128 is a sign of active syphilis and cannot be used to determine the stage of syphilis.
At present, the clinical determination of syphilis titer choose non-syphilis spirochete antigen serum test, the titer of the high and low mainly react to the amount of antibody in the patient’s serum, it is an effective means of observing the efficacy of the treatment, judging the recurrence of infection and re-infection, and the time of the disease and disease staging has little to do with the relationship between the time of the disease and the staging of the disease.
Syphilis titer is mainly related to the body’s reactivity to the syphilis spirochete, and its value may be higher in the late stage of stage 1 syphilis and early stage of stage 2 syphilis, while the titer may be lower in the late stage of syphilis. If the titer is negative, the syphilis is cured.
The staging of syphilis needs to be combined with the course of the disease, clinical manifestations, serologic tests and other comprehensive judgment, it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible to avoid delay in treatment.
