What’s wrong with dry mouth and thirst?

Old dry mouth and thirst may be physiological factors, but also may be the manifestation of certain diseases, such as diabetes, dry syndrome, uremia, etc., should be timely consultation to identify the cause of the disease.
1. Physiological factors: such as tour guides, teachers, coaches, etc., due to the need to talk for a long time, so it is easy to appear dry mouth and thirst; and the fall and winter seasons due to the indoor and outdoor air is relatively dry, when breathing the moisture in the mouth will gradually evaporate along with the airflow, so it will increase the chances of dry mouth and thirst often.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Diabetes mellitus: its typical clinical symptoms are three more and one less, such as drinking more, eating more, urinating more, weight loss, etc., so this kind of patients will also appear often dry mouth and thirst.
(2) Dry syndrome: the clinical symptoms are mainly dry mouth and dry eyes, and when the patients have frequent dry mouth and thirst, they also have other symptoms such as fatigue and low fever.
(3) Uremia: Due to the lack of antidiuretic hormone, the kidneys cannot reabsorb water well. A large amount of water will be excreted from the urine, the body will be dehydrated, so the patient will feel thirsty and dry mouth.
If physiological causes are ruled out, the patient should consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and undergo appropriate examinations if necessary.
