Generally speaking, the testicles on both sides will appear unequal in size, which is normal. When the testicles have tumors, cysts, syringomyelia and other conditions, they may be abnormally enlarged, and it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and further treatment.
When the left testicle is found to be larger than the right one, if it is only slightly enlarged and without any symptoms, it may be a normal phenomenon, if you are not sure, you can go to the hospital to do ultrasound and other examinations.
If it is obviously enlarged, it may be testicular tumor, cyst, syringomyelia and other diseases, which should be further examined to make a clear diagnosis and choose conservative treatment or surgery according to the severity of the disease.
If the examination is testicular tumor, or suspected testicular tumor, radical orchiectomy by inguinal approach should be performed. Postoperative radiotherapy should be chosen according to tumor stage grading.
If the testicular cyst is detected, regular follow-up and observation can be chosen for small size and insignificant symptoms; if it is large and symptomatic, cystectomy or orchiectomy should be performed. If the examination is syringomyelia, the testicular sheath can be flipped and fixed.
