Exercise heat stroke is actually a sports disease, mainly caused by the heat buildup in the body of an athlete who is on a moving field and whose muscles produce more heat than the body gives off. It is actually the same as a normal heat stroke, except that it is caused by a different cause. For example, if you are working on a construction site under the direct sunlight, the high temperature causes heatstroke due to the obstruction of the body’s regulatory center, while sports heatstroke is caused by excessive heat generated by the muscles. Therefore, no matter whether it is sports heatstroke or heatstroke caused by general reasons, the treatment method is the same. In principle, the first thing to do is to move the casualty to a ventilated and airy place, then cool him down, give him a cool drink if available, and finally send him to the hospital for further treatment.
