Female urinary catheterization is mainly for abnormal urinary status or preparation before surgery, the specific operation steps mainly include preoperative preparation, local disinfection, insertion of catheter, dilation of balloon, and arrangement of articles.
1. Preoperative preparation: prepare a disposable catheterization bag and 10ml saline before examination.
2. Local disinfection: Unwrap the catheterization bag and disinfect the perineum with cotton balls, and then disinfect the urethral opening and perineum again after spreading the hole towel.
3. Insert the catheter: after lubricating the catheter with paraffin oil, insert the catheter into the urethra.
4. Expansion of the balloon: when there is urine outflow, insert 1~3cm further inward and inject saline into the balloon for expansion.
5. Organize the articles: after the end of urethral intubation, organize the surrounding articles.
