What is navel velvet?

Umbilical antler is a common disorder in pediatric surgery that is caused by a developmental malformation of the vitelline duct. There are several types of diseases caused by unclosed or developmental malformations of the yolk duct, the first and most common are umbilical vellus, umbilical sinus, Meckel’s diverticulum, yolk duct cysts and even umbilical enterocutaneous fistulae these are all diseases with malformations of the yolk duct. Umbilical vellus is exophytic in that it is attached to the skin of the umbilicus at its base but is not connected to the abdominal cavity. Once diagnosed, the umbilical fistula needs to be surgically removed, otherwise it will repeatedly cause infection, oozing, bleeding and even malignant changes in the umbilicus, so the umbilical fistula should be removed as soon as possible and sent to pathological examination to understand the nature of the umbilical fistula.
