Atopic dermatitis can be handled by general treatment or medication.
1. General treatment: after the occurrence of atopic dermatitis, keep the skin clean and hygienic, avoid scratching or contacting allergens such as dust mites and pollen.
2. Drug treatment: choose drugs according to the severity of the patient’s condition and location. Commonly used drugs are glucocorticosteroids, such as hydrocortisone cream, tretinoin cream, mometasone furoate cream.
If the lesions are located in the weak parts of the skin, anti-inflammatory treatment can be used with calcium-modulated neural phosphatase inhibitors, and commonly used drugs are tacrolimus ointment, pimecrolimus cream and so on. When the itching is severe, antihistamines can be used to fight inflammation and relieve itching, commonly used drugs are loratadine, imipramine, ebastine and so on.
