The presence of epithelial cells (++++) during the routine leukorrhea test proves that the mucous membrane in the vagina has a high number of shed cells. If no other bacterial or mold infections are detected, or if the vaginal cleanliness is within the range of 1-2 degrees, it can be observed for the time being. If a woman’s vaginal epithelial cells (++++) and trichomonas, mycobacteria, or a vaginal cleanliness of 3 degrees or more are detected in the routine leukorrhea test, she is likely to have a combination of vaginitis, which needs to be treated with lotions and medications depending on the type of bacterial infection. The normal vaginal environment is weakly acidic and is maintained by the growth of lactobacillus bacteria. Elevated pH levels or the growth of stray bacteria can lead to an increase in the number of epithelial cells.
