How should “refractory asthma” be treated properly?

       Refractory asthma has to be divided into several types. For most patients, refractory asthma is hormone-dependent/resistant asthma, which is manifested in: and poor response to hormone therapy, showing varying degrees of hormone resistance, requiring long-term dependence on high doses of inhaled hormones, or even oral hormones. It is also important to note that there are some diseases that are misdiagnosed as asthma that are not effective when treated as asthma, such as gastroesophageal reflux, pulmonary cystic fibrosis, some endobronchial tuberculosis, and even lung cancer.  As a patient, when facing “refractory asthma”, you need to pay attention to 1) consult a regular hospital to avoid misdiagnosis; 2) improve lung function, chest CT and other related examinations to correctly assess the severity of the disease; 3) use medication under the guidance of a doctor, and do not use or stop medication without authorization.
