If a patient has a sudden panic attack in the middle of the night, it may be triggered by staying up too late, or recent mental stress and fatigue. There are also some patients who have long-term mental stress and are anxious from time to time, which can also trigger this kind of panic symptoms. Especially in the sleep state, this situation is considered to be a disorder of the regulation of plant nervous function, or called cardiac neurosis. It is recommended to have an ambulatory electrocardiogram (ECG) to help assess whether the patient is experiencing myocardial ischemia or arrhythmia at the onset of the discomfort. A systematic evaluation of the degree and condition of the arrhythmia can be done. It is recommended that the patient can take drugs that inhibit sympathetic excitability, such as bisoprolol or metoprolol, to prevent the onset of panic symptoms.
