Is having contractions after an IVF transplant a failure?

Feeling contractions after an IVF transfer is not necessarily a failure. In vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) is an artificial assisted reproduction technique that needs to be operated by a professional doctor. During the process of embryo implantation after the transfer, there may be pain in the lower abdomen, similar to the feeling of contractions, but when the blood HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), progesterone and other tests are normal, it can also indicate that the embryo implantation is successful. After the embryo transfer, it is necessary to pay attention to appropriate rest, avoid strenuous exercise and overwork, prohibit sexual intercourse, as the embryo transfer needs to continue to give luteal support therapy as prescribed by the doctor. About 2 weeks after the transfer, blood or urine HCG measurement should be carried out to confirm pregnancy, and ultrasound examination should be carried out 4~5 weeks after the transfer to confirm intrauterine pregnancy.
