What is the nemesis of AIDS

There is no such thing as an AIDS nemesis. At present, there is no cure for AIDS, and treatment mainly includes highly effective antiretroviral therapy, immunomodulatory therapy, and treatment of comorbidities.
1. Highly effective anti-retroviral therapy. Generally, a combination of drugs is needed to reduce the occurrence of drug resistance, including nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors such as azidothymidine and lamivudine, non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors such as nevirapine and efavirenz, and protease inhibitors such as ritonavir and tipranavir.
2. Immunomodulation therapy. The use of α-interferon, etc., to regulate the patient’s immune function, but there may be fever, the emergence of latent infections, the aggravation of existing infections, and other adverse reactions of immune reconstitution inflammatory response syndrome.
3. Treatment of comorbidities. AIDS patients may be combined with opportunistic infections or tumors, which require targeted treatment. Such as the emergence of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, oral compound sulfisoxazole and other drugs; lung candidiasis can be oral fluconazole, itraconazole and other drugs; toxoplasmosis can be oral spiramycin, clindamycin and other drugs; such as Kaposi’s sarcoma, then the use of chemotherapy or radiotherapy and other ways.
