Blurred vision with high blood sugar needs to be diagnosed before treatment. High blood sugar may cause complications such as diabetic retinopathy, which can lead to vision loss and blurred vision. If diabetic retinopathy is diagnosed, symptoms can be improved by medication and surgery.
1. Lowering blood sugar: You can take oral hypoglycemic drugs such as metformin or inject insulin to control blood sugar. The symptoms of blurred vision may also improve after the blood sugar is stabilized.
2. Diabetic retinopathy: Nutritional nerve drugs such as methylcobalamin can be taken orally. Laser photocoagulation is needed when there is macular edema or neovascularization in the retina. When it develops into proliferative stage without timely treatment, total retinal photocoagulation is needed.
It is recommended that patients with blurred vision due to high blood glucose should go to regular hospitals in time to improve relevant examinations and standardize the treatment under doctor’s guidance, so as to avoid delaying the condition or causing adverse reactions.
