Pre-operative preparation: it is necessary to prepare the treatment tray, benzalkonium bromide and other skin and mucous membrane disinfectant, catheterization kit and so on. 2. Clean the vulva: patients can wash the vulva with soap solution first. 3. Insertion of the catheter: the operator should wear sterile gloves and operate on the right side of the patient. With the left hand, the operator separates the labia minora to expose the urethral opening, and again disinfects the urethral opening and labia minora with sterile cotton balls. After that, the catheter coated with lubricant is inserted into the urethral opening with the right hand, and the outer end of the catheter is clamped shut with hemostatic forceps. Insert about 6~8cm, release the hemostatic forceps, urine can flow out from the catheter. 5. Fixation: inject 10~15 ml of water into the balloon and fix it properly to avoid dismantling and pulling of the urethra.
