Acid reflux is known as “acid reflux” in Chinese medicine, and commonly used Chinese medicines such as cuttlebone and calcined corrugated seeds. Due to medical conditions and individual differences, their efficacy cannot be generalized and specific instructions should be followed. Acid reflux refers to the flooding of acid in the stomach. It is mostly related to the feeling of cold, spleen deficiency, dietary internal injuries, emotional disorders and so on.
1. Cuttlebone has the efficacy of astringency to stop bleeding (treating bleeding disorders with medicines with astringent effect), astringency to stop bandages, acidity to stop pain (inhibiting stomach acid and alleviating pain), and dampness to astringent sores (reducing the invasion of dampness and evil spirits and promoting the healing of sores).
It can be used in patients with symptoms such as epistaxis (nosebleed), seminal emission and spermatorrhea, leucorrhoea (abnormal leucorrhoea with blood or blood clots), stomach pain and acid swallowing (swallowing acid in the stomach and upward in the mouth and pharynx), and so on.
2. Corrugated Zi has the efficacy of suppressing acidity and relieving pain, eliminating phlegm and removing blood stasis, and softening and dispersing hard lumps. It can be used in treating stubborn phlegm that is sticky and difficult to remove, scrofula (mainly refers to tuberculosis of the lymph nodes in the neck), obstruction in the abdomen, lumps, stomach pain and acidity. Do not use if there is no blood stasis or phlegm accumulation.
Due to the weak therapeutic effect of single-flavored Chinese medicines, Chinese patent medicines are commonly used to treat acid reflux, commonly used medicines such as Chen Xianglubai Lu tablets and Gastric Kangling capsules, which should be used in accordance with the doctor’s prescription.
The acidity of the stomach should be timely consultation, under the guidance of the physician for treatment, do not self-medication, to avoid causing adverse consequences.
