Will a fever of 38 degrees go down on its own?

There are actually many different causes of fever, and a fever of 38 degrees does not necessarily reduce the fever on its own. If the fever is caused by wearing too thick clothes, these solutions can reduce the fever by physical cooling, wearing less clothes, covering less blankets and drinking more warm water. However, if the fever is caused by viral infection, bacterial infection or mycoplasma infection, these causes cannot reduce the fever by themselves and there is a possibility that the body temperature will rise further. The fever will not gradually stop until the body has overcome these pathogens and they are completely removed. This means that the fever may recur in the case of pathogenic infection. If the body temperature is greater than 38.5℃, oral antipyretics can be taken. If the body temperature is below 38.5℃, physical cooling can be used to help reduce the fever.
