There are many reasons for the swelling of the neck of the foot, mainly circulatory diseases, orthopedic diseases and urological diseases.
1. Circulatory system diseases: If the patient suffers from circulatory system diseases, such as lower extremity venous insufficiency, lower extremity deep vein thrombosis, coronary artery disease and phlebitis, etc., it will cause poor circulation of blood in the lower extremities and thus produce the symptoms of swollen neck.
2. Orthopedic diseases: If the ankle joint is damaged or fractured due to trauma, it will also cause the symptoms of swollen neck; there are also other orthopedic diseases such as ankle degenerative disease. All of the above orthopedic diseases will cause ankle edema and clinical symptoms of swollen neck.
3. Urological diseases: If the patient’s kidneys have lesions, such as pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome and other urological diseases, it will also lead to tissue edema due to the decline of renal filtration function, followed by swelling of the neck.
If the swelling of the neck of the feet does not go away for a long time, it is recommended to go to the hospital for medical treatment.
